Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of getclyn.com and the CLYN Freelancer platform. By creating an account or using CLYN, you agree to these terms.

1. What CLYN is

CLYN is an independent education and career preparation platform for aspiring freelancers and virtual assistants. CLYN is not a recruitment agency, staffing provider, employer, job placement service or client marketplace.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If applicable law requires parent or guardian consent, you may use CLYN only with that consent. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your login credentials and all activity under your account.

3. Free and paid Academy access

Beginner Academy access is offered free across published CLYN niches. Paid niche access currently unlocks Intermediate and Client-Ready learning for the selected niche for a one-time price shown at checkout, currently ₱299 per niche unless a different price is displayed before purchase.

A paid entitlement is linked to the CLYN account that completed the verified purchase. Access is granted only after CLYN verifies the payment through its payment provider. A successful redirect or browser message alone does not create an entitlement.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as PayMongo. You agree to provide valid payment information and to pay the amount shown at checkout. CLYN does not store your full card details.

Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated by CLYN at checkout, digital course purchases are generally final once access has been granted. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Educational content and results

CLYN provides educational materials, practice projects, templates, tools and career-preparation guidance. Completing any lesson, pathway, assessment or project does not guarantee employment, clients, interviews, earnings, business results or professional certification.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of original CV content, portfolio materials, notes and other content you create and upload to CLYN. You grant CLYN the limited permission necessary to store, process, display and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the features you use.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload does not violate another person’s rights, confidentiality obligations or applicable law.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use CLYN to:

• Access another user’s account or paid entitlement without permission.
• Share, resell, scrape, copy or redistribute paid course content on a systematic basis.
• Attempt to bypass payment, authentication, security or access controls.
• Upload malicious code or intentionally disrupt the service.
• Use CLYN for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity.

8. Intellectual property

CLYN’s platform design, branding, course materials, templates, software and original educational content are owned by or licensed to CLYN and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your account gives you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use those materials for your own learning and career preparation.

9. Third-party services and links

CLYN may link to job boards, tools, agencies and other third-party services. Those services are independent from CLYN. Their availability, content, hiring decisions, fees, privacy practices and terms are outside CLYN’s control.

10. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, add, remove or temporarily suspend features as the platform evolves. We aim to preserve valid paid entitlements, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance, including outages, maintenance, legal requirements or events outside reasonable control.

11. Suspension and termination

CLYN may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law or protect the platform. You may stop using CLYN at any time.

12. Limitation of responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CLYN is provided on an “as available” basis. CLYN is not responsible for hiring decisions, client conduct, employment outcomes, third-party platforms, lost opportunities or decisions you make based on educational materials. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as CLYN evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
