This Privacy Policy explains how CLYN collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use getclyn.com and the CLYN Freelancer platform.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use CLYN, we may collect:

• Account information such as your name, email address, login provider and verification status.
• Career information you choose to provide, including your goals, preferred VA niche, experience, skills, tools, availability and support needs.
• Content you create in CLYN, including CV data, portfolio content, practice work, application materials, notes and learning progress.
• Purchase and entitlement information, including the niche purchased, transaction reference, payment status, currency and amount. CLYN does not store full payment card details.
• Technical and usage information such as page visits, feature activity, browser information, session identifiers and error logs needed to operate, secure and improve the service.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and secure your account.
• Personalise your roadmap and learning experience.
• Save your progress, CV, portfolio and other career assets.
• Process and verify purchases and maintain permanent niche entitlements where applicable.
• Provide support, prevent abuse and investigate technical or security issues.
• Measure product usage and improve CLYN.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Service providers

CLYN may use trusted service providers to operate the platform, including hosting, authentication, databases, storage, payment processing and infrastructure services. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to CLYN and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.

Current platform infrastructure may include Firebase/Google services, Vercel and PayMongo. Payment information submitted on a PayMongo checkout page is handled by PayMongo under its own terms and privacy practices.

4. Cookies, local storage and analytics

CLYN may use cookies, browser storage and first-party session identifiers for authentication, preferences, security, saved state and product analytics. We do not use this data to create invasive device fingerprints.

5. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account and purchases, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the platform. Some records may need to be retained after account closure where required for security, accounting, payment or legal purposes.

6. Your choices and rights

You may update information available through your CLYN account. You may also request access, correction or deletion of personal information where applicable. Certain information may be retained where required by law or where necessary to preserve payment, security or fraud-prevention records.

Where applicable, CLYN handles personal information in line with relevant privacy laws, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its implementing rules.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect account and platform information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you are also responsible for keeping your password and account access secure.

8. Children and younger users

If you are not legally able to consent to these terms or privacy practices on your own, you must use CLYN only with the permission and supervision required by applicable law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as CLYN changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
